The GE Digital Hub Detroit is home to teams from all 9 GE businesses, a full-scale Brilliant Manufacturing lab, and countless site events and initiatives led outside of our "day jobs."
Our Site Leader hoped to use creative means to build a strong sense of pride and camaraderie across the teams that call Detroit home. Imagery is a powerful tool in building shared experiences and evoking memories - and Instagram was the perfect place to reach a wide audience inside & outside of GE's four walls.
Using our GE Digital Instagram, we sought to change the mindset that GE is old-school and formal - and the content I curated for the #DetroitTakeover (Fall 2016) highlights our culture of innovation, passion, and light-heartedness.
Site leaders across the globe took notice of the success of the #DetroitTakeover, and invited me to curate #HubTakeovers for the Budapest Hub, New Orleans Hub, Bangalore Hub, and Glen Allen Hub. By the end of the 6-month takeover series, our number of followers had increased from 107 to 1,059.
